“The Hepworth Wakefield will become a place of pilgrimage for all lovers of sculpture and now, with the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park at West Bretton, Yorkshire will be a place of inspiration for all” – Antony Gormley.

The Hepworth Wakefield is Yorkshire’s major new art gallery. Designed by award-winning British architect, David Chipperfield, The Hepworth Wakefield will show for the first time a unique collection of sculptures by Barbara Hepworth – one of the most important sculptors of the 20th Century, who was born and raised in Wakefield. Its bold, modern architecture will be a fitting home for an outstanding collection of British art, featuring work by some of the UK’s best-known artists. As one of the largest and finest galleries outside of London, The Hepworth Wakefield will bring international contemporary art and historical exhibitions to Yorkshire. We were chosen to construct the surrounding footways comprising an 80mm granite cube laid on a silo batched Easipoint mortar, on a tarmac and concrete sub-base. Over 1000m2 of  paving was laid to exacting tolerances.
